AVERATECH 6130 WIRELESS DRIVER DOWNLOAD

The keypad I can live with. I have downloaded drivers from Ralink, Windows Update, Averatec - i've even tried the drivers from the third recovery cd the wireless card worked perfectly with windows xp home sp1 that shipped with it. All with the preinstalled stuff from averatec. The keypad I can live with. I haven't had a lick of problems with mine. That being said, the DVD playback on the laptop just about matches the Hard Drive with progressive scan. I refused to believe that was all the Averatec wirelees do.

I figured this out by playing with the tweak settings in the omega drivers. I do highly recommend Averatec to people on a budget. This may be native for averztech LCDs, but I do not like it at all.

This post wirelesss been flagged and will be reviewed by wieeless staff. Again, I am being honest with my needs, some of you may really need the P4 but I doubt I really did. I'm using SP2 on xp home with the ralink drivers from www. I opted for the Averatec due to the hinge issues common with eMachines. I think if they can solve the battery issue as well as produce a better case they will be a contender.

The cool features are certainly there, but poor battery life and wireless range keep us from recommending it for the classroom. The computer detects the wireless network, but the connection is weaker, and I cannot connect to the network. Nevertheless, I won't buy another one - it's a budget notebook, and you get what wjreless pay for. The 1630 is smaller than the typical laptop which enables Averatec to keep the machine size much smaller than typical Dells, etc. The next time around I will have a better feel for what I need and will use. Had I tested this out in a store beforehand, it would have been a deal breaker if not for the great price.
